Michael brings urban sketching to rural southern Minnesota, paints traditional watercolor landscapes, and reinterprets his traditional landscapes into large abstracts in acrylic.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I admire wobbly lines, and textural passages beyond my control. I limit my palette, and experiment with style, materials, and technique. I aim for strokes that are gestural and at times performative. I have hands that shake.
